‘What A Weekend’ embroidery workshops are run every second year (or non-ANZEG Conference years) by Nelson Embroiderers’ Guild at Waimea College, Richmond, Nelson.

We invite the best tutors to present a range of workshops, some suitable for beginners and others designed to develop skills of experienced embroiderers.

The exhibition of work from previous years is a firm favourite and our Merchants Mall always generates a lot of interest. Both are open to the public.

WOW – What a Weekend
Who would believe that it is 5 months since What a Weekend back in September
2025 — we will soon be thinking about WAW 2027!!!
Wow, What a Weekend. Our wonderful weekend is now done and dusted. What a
great time was had by all; thank you for the positive comments in the Evaluation
Forms. There were also some comments that we can work on too. On behalf of the
WAW Committee, Joanne, Sheryl, Rosemary and myself we thank you most
sincerely for supporting the weekend.
Our Tutors and merchants made very positive comments and are looking forward to
returning in 2027.
